A Day Filled With Many Events

Brandon went in head over heals after this fish.
(That means he fell out of the raft and still caught the fish).
This is the last fish Brandon landed before he broke his rod.
We enjoyed fishing in the rain...haha.
This was the river after the rain.

I Crossed the Bridge and Saw Muddy Water

We went upriver to float, and encountered lots of pine needles and pine cones.
Clinton and Lee still caught fish.
Lee caught the smallest fish that I had ever seen caught
on a fly on the Arkansas River.
On the way out, Clinton spotted this 3/4 curl ram
standing in the middle of the road.

Day 3

This was Everett's first catch of the day.
Everett caught this on a crippled up PMX--it only had 1 leg and had no hackle.
 Nice fish!!
Danny made the perfect cast to catch this weary brown.
We went to double dries in the afternoon and we were very successful.

Vallie Bridge to Texas Creek

Everett said the fish were bigger today and easier to catch because
he had his own reel today.
Everett looked like a train robber.
Danny put more fish in the net today that we could count!!!

1620 cfs and the Fishing Is Hot!!!

Everett started the day off by leaving his reel in the pick-up.
So he had to borrow the junky boat real.
It didn't make a difference--he caught fish anyway.
Danny had an awesome day of catching fish.
The fish are hungry--they hit a top fly and a nymph.

The New Orleans Connection

Ret said to take a picture of him smiling while reeling in a
Spinney Mountain rainbow.  He was a first time fly fisherman and he enjoyed immensely.

Grandfather/Granddaughter

Megan hasn't lost her touch when it comes to catching big fish!!!
Megan landed many rainbows this size.
Note how calm the water is in the picture.
It was like that all day.
This 22 inch fish tried to get off in the moss.  But Chris landed it!!
The guide had to long arm it up to the camera to keep up with his clients.
What a beautiful day!!!!

Brother-In-Laws on Spinney

Steve's first catch on Spinney.
Steve owns land that overlooks Spinney.
Today he looked from the lake to the land.
Tony was a beginner, but he took to catching fish in a hurry!
Both of them caught many this size.  Pretty nice fish Tony.

2200 cfs.

The fish were eager to take a PMX.
The orange PMX landing 6 inches from the bank was the ticket today.
