Last Fishing Day in 2013

Many Browns took the Two Wire Yellow Stone Fly.

Only 2 fish took the Two Bit Hooker.

I was under the eagle eye of an osprey.

Day on the Green River

Darlene landed the biggest fish today on a streamer.



The Fish Spotter helped Darlene land a fish she caught on a nymph. 
We both had fun today.  The weather and scenery was spectacular.

The bonus today was that we each got to catch some fish on dries.

The last fish of the day.  We fished the C Section and floated through

Swallowtail Canyon.

Row and Throw

Out with Lucas and Alex rowing and throwing in the wind.  Many fish on streamers.

Up Stream WINDS

 Up stream winds made the float a challenge.

 We had Wind, Rain, Sun, and still caught fish

Tried many different dries today.

The calm before the storm

 Bill won both prizes today--the beer fish (smallest) and the dinner fish (largest).

 The fish had the feed bag on today, taking the big dries and of course, the Red Two Bit Hooker.  Then Chris had to throw in the Psycho Pheasant Tail.

Chris was way too serious about fishing today.

Dry/Dropper Rig

 The first fish of the day.

 The red two-bit hooker was the dropper we used today.

 The tan foam PMX also worked today.

The smile tells it  all.

Tom Spent The Day With A Hooker!!!!!

 Tom spent the afternoon catching fish with Charlie Craven's Red Two Bit Hooker.

He landed some nice fish with that fly.



Double Dries

 Does Chris like to fish or what??????

 Most of the fish were caught on an orange PMX.

 Big Al, little fish.

 This fish hit a yellow stimi.

There were a lot of blue wings and red quills in the air today.

COLD Start WARM Finish

The temperature was 32 degrees at the put-in with a strong downstream wind

that chilled us to the bone.

Finally the sun came out and warmed things up.

The fish finally started to feed.

Larry landed some sized fish on the old standby--the A.J.

Ended up to be a great day!

A Hooker-Then We Switched to Dries

 A big foam hopper on the top, and the Hooker on the bottom.

 Rick landed this rainbow using a Two Bit Hooker.

 The Hooker is a well known fly on the Arkansas.

 The fun began when the fish started hitting the Calf Hair Royal Stimulator.

Mike caught a nice rainbow on the stimi.

Dry/Dropper Day

The river clear up today so Mark and Rose got to fish with dry/dropper all day.
