Caddis!!!!

 The G.W. Special worked all morning.

Frank used double dries all afternoon.

198 c.f.s.

 Josh caught a fish on the first cast right after we left the boat ramp.
He used a yellow stone fly and the A.J. all day. 
The caddis appeared above the Wellsville bridge.

I pumped a fish's stomach.  It had eaten a leech, snail, sowbug, and some misc. moss.

A Beautiful Day on the River

 Good fishing/catching on the Yellow Stone Fly and the A.J.

No caddis action today.

Caddis In The Air

Check out the sky in the back ground.  The sun was out ALL day.  The fish needed sunglasses.  A few caddis were in the air this afternoon.

A Trip Into The Abyss

We ventured below Vallie Bridge this morning at 168 cfs.
That was a mistake--had to drag the boat through the boulder gardens.

Warmer Weather

 The fish wanted to play this morning.

Stacey is now a member of the 20" club.

Today was VERY COLD, but the fish were biting.  The A.J. worked in the morning and the red 2-bit hooker in the afternoon.

The red 2-bit hooker was the fly of choice today, when we could keep it in the water.

The blue wings were hatching during the afternoon so the fish were hitting

the parachute adams.  We need warm weather!!!



Cool Day

The snow pack is up from last week.   The river needs some water.  This morning the U.S.G.S. reported a mere 170 cfs.

My Last Day on the Slopes

I was second one down the slope.  Heavy snow but lots of fun!

"AJ"

Tied up 3 different versions of the A.J. fly.  Caught fish on each one, but it's still in the refining stages.  I'll give it a test run again tomorrow.

R & D Day

This fish was caught on the Naked Hooker (a new fly).

This rainbow was caught on the A.J.  I only had tied 3.  Guess I'd better tie some more.

My good buddy, Brian, rowed half the day so that I could fish. 

That makes for a good time!!!

10 Degrees at the Put In

 There was snow all along the banks.

 All morning the fish were hitting the 2-wire yellow stone fly.

The blue wings came out in the afternoon,
and the fish started feeding on the red 2-bit hooker.

Extreme Skiing

Eight of us rode up in the cat for about 8 miles.

Tyler was the guide.  We skinned up Mandatory Ridge, 1800+ feet straight up.

Skied down extreme pitches.

Nymph Fishing Today

Tom fished with a 2-wire stonefly and a red 2-bit hooker.

The day was warm, cool, cloudy, sunny, no wind, and a lot of wind!!!

Many Blue-Wings Today

MANY fish took the Parachute Adams.

Rachel was working on her casting skills, while on a rowing instruction trip.
