We came up about one hour after I started. It was a downstream wind so it made it very hard to cast. I caught about 80% of the fish on the Arkansas River Stonefly and and 20% on the Black Midge. The Fish Spotter enjoyed her time on the water. I hope to get the boat ready to put on the water Monday morning.
Out early this morning. Had to fight ice on the guides but the fishing was good. Tried out a new fly which worked great this morning. Starting to see more bugs on the water and the fish are moving around.
After 18 weeks of remodeling our house we are about finished. I went down to the river this morning and the fish we're willing to be caught. I caught most of the fish on the Arkansas River Stone fly. The river is running 378 so it made it very easy to wade. About 11 o'clock the midges came out and there were many fish feeding on the surface. The warm weather has made the fish more active. Going farther down river to check out some of that area in the morning.
