Cold Day

We had Wind. Snow, Ice on the guides, and NO Sun.  It was a great day to be on the river.

Old Pattern

This is a 10 year old pattern.  The body is tied with golden pheasant tail and copper wire.  It was very effective this morning.  No I need to tie some more for the upcoming guide trips.

Easter

The Easter rabbit treated me right this afternoon.  I was trying out a new pattern and the fish seem to like it.  Now I have to tie up a few more to make sure they like it.

Brisk Day

Brisk day on the river with Don Dubin. Fishing was not great but good. They liked the Frenchie

No Wind

The fish like the Frenchie this morning.  It was nice there was no wind until about 1 p.m.

The Ranch

123 new calves.  Branding April 10th  some are going to be big.  Went to check on the horses, it was sad not to see Leggs run around.

Awesome

Floated with Darlene and The Fish Spotter today.  The fish were on the feed again this morning.  Most of the fish took the Frenchie size 16.  The wind started to blow around noon.

Cold Day on The River

Up stream wind.   It was cold ice on the guides all day.  Catching was good in the morning.  did BWO in the afternoon.

Leggs

Legg past way yesterday.  She was one of Darlene's horses.  Leggs was one of the best pack horses ever.  Leggs was always ready to work moveing cows, elk hunting, and just out for a ride.  She did like her grain.  Leggs will be missed

Great Float

Fishing with the wind a your back is fun.  Today was a very good day for fishing.  All the fish wanted to play.  Tha Arkansas River Stone Fly was on fire.

Bowl Skiing

 Rescue Union Bowl at Copper Mountain ski area with new powder.

It was chilly up on top.

Ranch Work

 Fish spotter enjoyed the new snow.

 This little bull has a perfect heart on his forehead.

The two guard dogs guarding the haystack.

They did a good job keeping the cows away while we were getting the hay.

WIND!!!!!!

The wind did blow today....  We used a Dry/Dropper Rig all day..   it was good catching...

Great Float

Great float with Lucas today.  The Stone Fly was king today.

March Day

Great day on the river.  The Stone Fly  and the Frenchie.  The water is at 286 cfs. a few rocks..

Darlene rowed 70% of the trip.

1st. Float for 2016

 We had to start the trip out with a 30 year old bottle of champagne.

 Needless to say it was flat.

 Alex fished with a dry/dropper rig al day.

He did caught one on the dry.

Killer Morning

No wind this morning.  There were many midges on the water when I got down to the water.  Most of the fish ate a black zebra midge.
