A Fall Day On Antero

Jennifer caught the first fish. Many were rainbows.
Nice rainbow Roy!!
Shai holds a big cutbow.
Fall is in the air. I drug out all my extra cloths and everything got used.
The morning was very chilly.

305cfs Lower Canyon Run

Wendy's first ever catch on the Arkansas River--nice!!!
Now she says it's easy.
She continued to catch some beautiful fish.
Chuck caught this fish by the lasso method.
Wendy caught this fish, but Chuck netted it.
We were in the Boulder Gardens and I need help landing the fish,
so Chuck got this quick picture.
Chuck landed this hefty rainbow.
Today we had severe upstream winds from Coaldale to the take-out.

Afternoon Float

The 'Fish Spotter' approved of this rainbow.
Darlene also had a chance to land a rainbow.
Most of the trip, she was on the oars (except in the extreme upstream wind).
Many rocks are starting to show up in the river.
Darlene found a few. The water is getting clearer every day
and the fish are spooky.

Dave's Return to the River

Fall is in the air--frost on the roof of the Fly Shop.
Randy enjoyed looking at the beautiful spots on the wild brown trout.
Dave enjoyed landing this rainbow after returning to fly fishing.
He has been off the river for 3 years due to an injury.
It was great to see him smiling again!!
