The rainbows seemed to like my new fly.
This brown was willing to play in the rocks.
The Fish Spotter actively keeping her eye on things.
She got to touch quite a few fish today.

New Fly Pattern

I spent many hours at the bench tying variations of this pattern.
I'm trying to keep it a secret as long as I can (except for the Floatfisher).

A Wade Guide Trip

I had the privilege of guiding a young man by the name of Manning.
In Manning's eyes, this fish was just as big as a 14 inch brown.
This father and son enjoyed the first fly-fishing adventure together.

Spinney Trip

It was a cold and WINDY day at Spinney.
Even though Frank had to bundle up to stay warm, it didn't interfere with his ability to catch fish!!
We moved to Buffalo Bay and got into a nice hatch.  We caught quite a few fish there.
This was Frank's biggest fish to the boat.  He did lose a big fish that makes good for "fish stories".
The wind finally pulled 90 pounds of anchors.
It was time to get off the lake as 3 boats capsized yesterday.  One was visible in front of the dam.

Father/Son Fishing Trip

Max holding a brown while his Dad holds the net.
A lot of top activity today.  Max caught this one on a PMX.
Catching this rainbow was a nice way to end the trip!!!
Mike stepped out of the boat while I was re-rigging Max's flies.  He caught this rainbow in the riffle.
The river came up 65 c.f.s. overnight which definitely discolored the water.

Todays Job

The truck loaded the cows/calves to take them to their summer pasture.
Some were left behind.  They had to be branded today.
Rick loading the vaccination which is given to each calf.
The branding irons getting hot.
All hand on deck for this calf which was a bull and now is a steer.
The Fish Spotter waiting patiently for a hand out of bull testicles.

The Two Mail Carriers

Biggest fish of the day and biggest smile too!!!
Cindi caught this brown on a foam PMX.
Cindi came to fish sporting fancy fingernail polish, trying to out do the color scheme of the brown trout.
Todd fished quietly and patiently out of the back of the boat.
Notice the huge spots on this beauty.  Todd used a micro mayfly to catch most of his fish.

Rain Was In The Forecast, But We Lucked Out!

Stacey landed many fish on the Red Two Bit Hooker.
Only 2 rainbows were landed today, and this was one of them.
Wayne fished with a Yellow Stone Fly and a Green Queso.
In the beginning of the day, Wayne was a little rusty with his technique,
but he came on strong in the afternoon.
Both the guide and the fisherman had to fight the upstream wind.

The size of browns have increased this spring.  They've been eating lots of bugs.
The Hofer rainbows are also growing and they are fun to catch!!!

What a Difference a Day Makes!!

Ray gave the guide advice today.  We used a small midge to catch many fish.
This one took the hopper on the top.
The Wet Mountains got a fresh blanket of snow yesterday.
