A Hooker-Then We Switched to Dries

A big foam hopper on the top, and the Hooker on the bottom.
Rick landed this rainbow using a Two Bit Hooker.
The Hooker is a well known fly on the Arkansas.
The fun began when the fish started hitting the Calf Hair Royal Stimulator.
Mike caught a nice rainbow on the stimi.

Rain Delay for a Few Days

After major rain storms, the river is clearing.
Pat's rubber legs worked this morning in the off colored water.
As the day wore on, the water cleared and the fish were willing to take Chris' flies.
The Red Two-Bit Hooker was the fly that caught the most fish.

The Fish Spotter

The Fish Spotter was not willing to go fishing today because it was raining.
The Arkansas was intermittently fishable/catcable between dumps from side canyons. We came across the bridge later in the day and it seemed to be clearing up.
It should be good fishing tomorrow.

Rain, Sun, Fish

 Off and on rain today.
The sun warmed the water up enough to hatch out the red quills and blue wing olives. The fish began to feed.
All the fish were on the edge taking BIG dries.

Another Good Fishing Day

There was a brief rain storm this morning, then the sun came out for a beautiful day.
Danny connected up with this rainbow? (cutbow?)
We fished a dry/dropper and double dries.
The Red Two Bit Hooker was the nymph  of choice, and the Royal Stimulator was the top fly of choice.

Clouds, No Rain

The cloud cover triggered the fish feeding frenzy.
The rainbows were taking the big dries on the surface.
Even the little ones were feeding today.
Steve made an outstanding cast to catch this fish.
Don held the back of the boat down and boated many fish.
Our old friend the Red Two Bit Hooker worked today.

Yesterdays Big Fish

Danny's fish was a little short of the 20" Club (19").

A Stellar Fall Day!!

It was a cloud free morning.
The water was clear at the 175 bridge.

Danny fished double dries most of the day.  For a little while he fished with a dry/dropper.  The saying of the day was, "Fish On".
Danny boated MANY fish today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The water clarity above Valle Bridge was ideal for dries.

Brotherly Love

Sam finally got the knack of landing fish.  The afternoon on fire with fish going after the dries.  The weather was fantastic and the clarity was great!!!

Abe let his brother Sam ride in the front of the boat all day.  That didn't stop Abe from
landing some nice fish.
