Hunt Lake Hike

The Fish Spotter made the 8 mile trek today.  She like to hike.
The Fish Spotter need to cool off by going swimming.
There were some nice green back cutthroats that were roaming the bank.
Hunt Lake is low like all the other lakes and rivers.

A Day Not To Forget

 Jay set the hook on this fish and went over backwards into the river. The good news is that he landed this fish.
 The NoMad was working to day.
Dave laid his rod down on the back seat so  he could make a video and fish hit one of the flies and pulled the rod/reel/line and fish into the river never to be seen again.

Mike and Mike

This was Mike's first float on the Arkansas.  He enjoyed it!!


Check out this chunky rainbow.
Mike stayed in the back of the boat all day. 
Therefore there was a fish sweeper in front of him.

 Caught wild rainbows. Caught wild browns.


This brown came up from the lake. It is ready to gorge on salmon eggs.

Crest Trail to Bald Mountain.

We started off from the Old Monarch Pass road on the Continental Divide Trail. Hiked through the Monarch Ski Area to the start of the Crest Trail going North

 The top of Bald Mtn. and wind was howling.
 Upper Water Dog Lake.
Darlene only needed to go 3 more miles to finish the trip.
