2 Bluebird Days

This is what we have been waiting for--blue wing olives.
This fish was fooled by a zebra midge.

Nice spots.
The rainbows were few and far between these past 2 days days.

Clouds = Blue Wings

The blue wings started appearing 15 minutes after we got started.
We started fishing with a double dry rig.

The blue wing hatch lasted for 6 miles.  The fun was on!!!

Double Dries

My clients fished with a yellow stone fly and red 2 bit hooker.
In the afternoon, they switched to a parachute adams and a black RS2.
Anne said it was a beautiful day.  No wind and the fish wanted to play.

Full Day Float on a Cold Day

Wade had a rough start.  I rolled his coffee thermos out on the boat ramp.
Without caffeine, it effected his ability to set the hook,
but later in the day he came on strong.
This was Rick's first fish and first float trip.
We caught fish on a yellow stone fly, a prince nymph, red two bit hooker,
and a zebra midge.

Todays Float

Todays rowing instruction allowed me to do some fishing.
The yellow stone fly and the red two bit hooker yielded many nice fish today.

First Fishing Trip for 2013

Geez-la-weez you have to be part crazy to go fishing when there are still ice shelfs
at the put-in.
The first fish caught right at the put-in.
The red Two Bit Hooker also worked.
Darlene tried to join the 20 inch club but was 2 inches short.
Not bad for her first rainbow.
Another nice rainbow.
